White City Infrastructure Delivery Plan

About the project
The White City ‘IDP’ project is the first major infrastructure project to enable the development of Imperial’s White City Campus South Masterplan. This highly complex and technically challenging project involves co-ordination with London Underground, Transport for London, the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, as well as stakeholders and operational users of the Campus.
The project comprises a diverse range of infrastructure works, including:
- A new bridge over the Central Line and modifications to the public highway to form a new crossroad junction
- Major utility works, development plot connections and new distribution networks into and around the Campus
- Central basement box forming part of a future underground vehicular access route for development plots
- Removal of the old bridge and reinstatement works
- Land remediation works including on-site processing
- Landscape finishes to create the public realm
Planning and phasing of the project takes account of the need to maintain suitable access and an appropriate environment for Campus users, visitors and the public during the extensive works.
